5/5 Thanks to the review by takemylead dog walking service i purchased the hand pump pressure washer primarily to clean my muddy dog. It has been an absolute delight to use. I can put warm to hot water in the washer as i quite like my dog and don’t want to shower him with cold water. I can have him clean in a matter of minutes using only about 3 litres of water, extra water can be used to clean off my muddy boots leaving all the mud where it belongs: outdoors! This is an extremely well-made product that will last a long time and is well worth the cost. It has the added advantage of replacement parts being available. I was daft enough to leave my pressure washer in the car during the extremely cold weather at the end of 2010, the water froze and cracked the valve. Savewatersavemoney sent me a new replacement valve at no cost, now that’s what i call service! I also intend to use my hand pump pressure washer to clean my car and caravan when i’m away.

5/5 The item was ordered and arrived next day. It required very little assembly and worked fine. I use it to mainly clean my mountain bike, which is best done while the mud is still wet. It does a very good job. The pressure lasts for quite a while before the unit needs repumping and even then it only takes a few pumps. It's obviously not as powerful as an electric pressure washer, but that's described in the product details. The overall quality appears very good. I got what i expected with very good delivery. 3/5 The hand pump pressure is easy to use and portable. It looks like there is a fitting for a carry strap but none were contained in the product box.
It is good for rinsing off light dirt but it would be foolhardy to compare this product to an electrically powered jetwash. If you expected similar you would be disappointed.
Use - it takes a little getting used to as it takes a little longer to wet things down and rinse due to the lower volumes of water flowing.
I expect that there is something in the region of 25-50% reduction in water used but for cleaning jobs with ingrained dirt you would still need a conventional product. Product uses no electricity and so this is another bonus if your intention is to work with products that are 'green'.

3/5 This is a great item and have found it most useful for the watering of hanging baskets and other plants in the garden. I no longer get wet through doing the task!.
Good for washing down the car if it isn't too dirty in the first place but not enough pressure for stubborn dirt. Washed down garden furniture very well and conservatory windows and roof. Roof could have done with a bit more pressure but it is a lot cleaner than it was.
Main bonus was its portabilty, i chased my kids round the lawn with it and they had lots of fun. At the same time i knew just how much water i was using rather than using the hosepipe to spray them with so definitely saved on water which is very important when on a water meter.
Overall i would recommend this product as an all round very adaptable purchase. —Tracey Millington

3/5 This product was used for washing the car,cleaning the patio and window frames.Car washing-used alot less water than i normally would but not that much pressure so it was'nt ideal for getting all the dried on dirt and bugs off.
Patio-as with the car not much pressure so ended up using the hosepipe.
Windows-ok for the downstairs frames and doors but again not enough pressure for the upstairs.
I would probably just use this for cleaning the kids bikes,muddy shoes,patio furniture or even rinsing the dog down after walks! —Michael Green

3/5 I think this is a great bit of kit although a little on the expensive side for what it can actually do

When i used it to wash the car there just didnt seem to be enough pressure so i ended up just getting the hose pipe out in the end

Tried using it to wash the windows of my house and it seemed ideal for the ground floor windows/doors but again not quite enough pressure to jet the 1st floor windows

Where it came into its own was using it to water plants ect
Made watering hanging baskets easier, as well as potted plants and ive got some patches on my lawn that ive just seeded and this was quicker than getting the sprinkler out
It also did a decent job of cleaning some muddy bikes down before putting them back in the shed —Adam Chamberlain

3/5 For watering plants in tubs and baskets, this is a great gadget; not so sure about its usefulness in washing a (large) car, though...The principle is fine but the pressure, when compared with a regular hosepipe, does leave something to be desired. 3/5 as an avid car washer of many years standing i was very doubtful as to whether i would find this pressure washer as good as my garden hose. It was and it certainly will save water. The other use i put it to was watering wall mounted hanging basket, although an angled spray head would have saved me getting slightly damp on the odd occasion. Unfortunately the spray did not quite reach the bedroom windows, but i did find it useful in removing the soapy water from the ground floor windows, but i still had to leather them down. As to buying one, i am not sure, it really depends on how strongly one feels about saving water. —Malcolm J Carr

4/5 We used the pressure washer for cleaning the car,applying patio cleaner, watering plants and cleaning the hard to get to nooks and crannies in the shower enclosure and the detergent dispenser drawer in the washing machine. It was very useful for getting some pressure to clean out places that are difficult to get to. I used it in place of the hose pipe at times and this really saved water. 3/5 This product has been used for car washing, watering plants and window washing. Car washing - easier to carry than buckets of water and nozzle means that under car can be washed. Front garden watering plants - easier than trailing the hose through the house and it holds more than a watering can.
Window washing - it's good to have an adjustable nozzle and with good pressure the water reaches 1st floor windows. I learned by accident that the nozzle has a constant setting but it was easy to slide the trigger back to shut off the water. —John Boardman

5/5 I have just taken delivery of my hand pump pressure washer and i am very happy with my purchase as it solves a very dirty and smelly problem.
I am the owner of www.Takemylead.Biz which is a dog walking company based in harpenden / st albans. I am using my hand pump pressure washer as a dog shower which is kept in my citroen relay dog van. During the wet weather my pack of six dogs get very muddy and quite often some of the pack will roll in cow pats or worse, foxes do do's.
Prior to today i had to drive the dogs home with the van windows down and my head hanging out, heading towards a kind owner hose pipe or the nearest lake.
Now my dogs can be power washed on site with an antibacterial dog shampoo, dryed in a dog towel bag and sent home smelling sweet.
Both my nose and i thank you so much. Great product, great site, super fast service and delivery.

Hand Pump Pressure Washer

We recently received delivery of a Hand Pump Pressure Washer but it does not have a warranty along with it. Please help.

The instructions received along with Auto Washer are very poorly translated.

Can you advise on how ecologically-friendly pressure washers are?

The pressure washer is made from Polypropylene and imported by road from Poland, so there is of course a carbon footprint to take into account. However, they require neither electricity nor a hosepipe, and deliver water in a measured and optimal way. Thereby, they save energy and water versus alternative methods (i.e. hosepipe or electrical pressure washers).

Thank you for dispatching my Water Pump. I have assembled and tested it as per the instructions however there seems to be a problem. When the pump is primed by pumping, water immediately starts coming out of the nozzle and continues to do so until the pump is empty.  The water should not com through the nozzle until the lever on the handle is pressed. Pressing the lever does nothing. Is there something I could check or do I need to return the product?

You could try a couple of things: above the lever on the handle is a flat piece of plastic which might be held down by a small brass pin. This is like a petrol pump on a car - it sounds like its postitioned on constant spray - hence why the water comes out immediately. Try sliding the plastic strip backwards so that it moves into the unlocked position.

If it's not that, then try pressing and releasing the trigger - it may be that it is stuck.

Finally, there's a small black wheel on the handle - try turning to see if by loosening it , it reduces pressure on the trigger and this then allows it to snap shut.

Could you tell me if the Hand Pump Pressure Washer comes complete with the hose etc.?

The Hand Pump Pressure Washer comes as per the image on the site which shows it fully functional with a 250 cm hose, lance (approx 55 cm) and lance nozzle.  We also sell a number of accessories too which you might find useful.

What should I do when the Hand Pump Pressure Washer is empty?

Ensure that the pressure is released by releasing the pressure valve before unscrewing the handle.
